Flexibility in motion
Stretching is necessary for keeping the body fit, flexible and movable. It allows you to move freely within your skeleton. Over time, our muscles tend to shorten with inactivity, overuse and repetitive postural imbalances. This may cause pain and tension in the joints and limited range of movement overall. Stretching also assists in decreasing symptoms of sciatica, significantly alleviates lower back pain, knee stiffness, as well as neck and shoulder limitations.
Stretching, whether it be applied actively or passively is an extremely important part of keeping a youthful body. Everyday tasks are affected by a deucrease in our range of movement, as well as enjoying physical activity in sports and hobbies. Dancers and Athletes need to incorporate stretching in their workout routine as a way of maintaining joint health and muscle injury prevention.
I offer a half-hour Stretch/Flex session for $40.00. If you include a half-hour session after a one-hour or more of massage therapy, you will receive a $10.00 discount for that half-hour session.
Strengthening muscles and bone keeps us active fit and youthful. Weight bearing exercises protect our joints, increase our metabolism and maintain a strong skeleton. Atrophied muscles not only cause falls and fractures but weakness which tends to lead to daily inactivity. Being physically independent keeps us active and social. It also keeps our muscles healthy through chronic repetitive movement.
I offer a 45 minute strength training session for $50.00. You will learn to properly build muscles in alignment with you muscular/skeletal frame.
Increasing your range of movement, joint mobility and strength increases overall well-being.
